Turning ideas into meaningful visual systems
I’m Kimia Nobari, a Düsseldorf-based Graphic Designer and Art Director. I help brands turn ideas into clear, distinctive, and memorable visual identities, combining strategic thinking with a creative approach that is both structured and intuitive, helping brands become more recognizable and consistent in how they are seen.
With a background in Graphic Design and academic experience in Media Design at IU International University of Applied Sciences, my work has developed through both formal education and continuous hands-on practice. I’ve collaborated with brands across different industries, contributing to the creation of visual identities that are not only visually refined, but also aligned with each brand’s positioning and direction.
What defines my work is a distinct and unconventional perspective on art and expression. I don’t see design as decoration, but as a way of translating ideas, emotions, and meaning into something visual and tangible.
A key part of my process begins by hand. I create original sketches and abstract compositions that carry a human touch, something raw, personal, and impossible to replicate digitally. These handcrafted foundations are then developed into refined digital outcomes, resulting in work that feels both authentic and precisely executed.
Rather than limiting myself to one style or direction, I work at the intersection of structure and experimentation, where branding, art direction, and visual storytelling come together to form unique visual systems.
I work across English, German, and Persian, collaborating with clients from different cultural and professional backgrounds. Clear communication and a thoughtful process are an essential part of how I approach every project. I’m especially interested in working with brands and individuals who value clarity, intention, and originality in design, those who see it not just as aesthetics, but as a meaningful part of how they are perceived.
This space is not only a portfolio, but a way to share a perspective, and to connect with people who resonate with it.
Design, to me, is a way of seeing, and a way of making that vision visible.
